PEC Zwolle is a Dutch professional football club from Zwolle in the province of Overijssel. The club was founded in 1910 as PEC. Since the summer of 2022, the club plays in the First Division, after ten consecutive seasons in the Eredivisie. The home base of the football club is the MAC³PARK stadium. From the 2010/11 season, PEC Zwolle also has a women's team. This team plays in the Women's Eredivisie.
The club's greatest success followed at the end of the 2013/14 season. PEC may have fallen back to 9th place in the league, but the club managed to reach the final of the KNVB Cup. On 20 April 2014 in Rotterdam, they met national champion Ajax, which was already almost assured of a new national title. PEC beat Ajax 5-1 through goals from Ryan Thomas (2x), Guyon Fernandez (2x) and captain Bram van Polen. The club thus grabbed its first prize in the 104-year club history. On 3 August 2014, PEC also won the Johan Cruijff Schaal by beating Ajax again, 1-0 through a goal by Stefan Nijland.
Sit & Heat
The MAC³PARK stadium has had 254 of its existing business seats converted to Sit & Heat. In consultation with PEC Zwolle and a tight planning, this has led to a good result.
