Hamburger SV (HSV) is a German omni-sport club from Hamburg. HSV was founded back in 1887 and until 2018 was the only club to play continuously in the Bundesliga since its foundation in 1963. Indeed, the club had not been relegated since the 1919 merger that led to HSV and played 99 years in a row at the highest national level. HSV is one of only two clubs (along with Nottingham Forest) to have won the European Cup I once or several times and will not play at the highest national level in the 2021/22 season.
Home of The Rothoses it is Volksparkstadion. The stadium was one of twelve stadiums during the 2006 World Cup. Four group matches and a quarter-final were played. The stadium has a capacity of over 57,000 spectators.
